The Turkish president told the NATO secretary general that it is not Ankara that is raising tensions in the Aegean

Meeting with the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg had on Friday o Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

As the SKAI correspondent broadcasts from Istanbul, Manolis Kostidisthe Turkish presidency informed that the main topics on the agenda of the discussion were the war in Ukraine, the “aggressive actions of Greece” and the tripartite memorandum of Turkey-Finland-Sweden.

The announcement of the Turkish presidency on the meeting states that it is not Ankara that is increasing the tension in the region and that Greece must come back to reason and engage in dialogue.

Of course, the announcement does not mention the Tayfun ballistic missile, which has Athens in its range, it does not mention “I will come one night suddenly”, it does not mention the daily violations and espionage on the islands, nor the challenges of Greek sovereignty, or the casus belli for the 12 miles, certainly not on the maps of Erdogan and Bahtceli himself, with half of the Aegean, even Crete in the colors of Turkey.

The following is the announcement of the Turkish presidency regarding the meeting between Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Jens Stoltenberg:

“Recep Tayyip Erdogan received NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The Russia-Ukraine war, Greece’s aggressive actions and the tripartite Turkey-Sweden-Finland memorandum were discussed at the meeting.

At the meeting, President Erdogan said that as a result of the diplomatic move they made at the highest level with Russia and Ukraine, the grain corridor started working again and that they will focus on extending the agreement in the next period.

President Erdogan stressed that it is necessary to return to negotiations in order to end the conflicts between Russia and Ukraine as soon as possible and to reach a just solution.

During the meeting, in which Greece’s aggressive actions were mentioned, President ErdoÄŸan stated that Turkey is not the one increasing the tension in the region and that it would be beneficial for Greece to act with common sense and lead to a dialogue.

President Erdogan noted that the pace and timing of the process to ratify the Turkey-Sweden-Finland tripartite memorandum will be determined by the steps these countries take.”
