PASOK: The government eavesdrops on us, but does not listen to our proposals

by

The government “didn’t need to eavesdrop on us, because all these proposals were published on the internet and in the public debate”, said PASOK representative Dimitris Manzos

“The government is persistently crafting an image of an allegedly weak and incomplete opposition, pointing to SYRIZA. I have bad news for the ND: There is an opposition with positions, proposals, rigor and justice, there is an alternative proposal and that is PASOK-Movement for Change”, the party’s press representative told SKAI. Dimitris Manzoscommenting on the polls.

He added that since January the PASOK-KINAL has proposed imposing a ceiling on the retail price of electricity and that since March he has been talking about the need to reduce indirect taxes on basic consumer goods while this crisis lasts. He also noted that from February it is proposed to tax the surplus profits of energy companies, “which the parliamentarians and ministers of the ND said do not exist” and from August the protection of the first residence and the suspension of auctions were requested. The government “didn’t even listen to us when we talked about the wide gap between bank lending and deposit rates,” he noted.

“He didn’t even need to eavesdrop on us because all these proposals were published on the internet and in the public debate, with complete transparency and accountability as he always did and does PASOK. They connected to the phone of Mr. Androulakis and the journalists and disconnected from liberal democracy and social reality,” concluded Dimitris Manzos.
