Erdogan’s new challenges: He speaks of a persecuted “Turkish” minority in Greece

Erdogan, in fact, calls on the Islamic world not to remain a spectator of “the suffering of our brothers who are being persecuted in Greece”

Unthinkable statements by the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoganwho spoke once again about the “Turkish” minority in Greece and even spoke of “persecutions” against them by Greece.

He also spoke about the “TRDBK”, speaking of “violations of the rights suffered by our Turkish Cypriot brothers”.

According to what the SKAI correspondent broadcasts from Istanbul, Manolis KostidisErdogan brought up the issue of the Muslim minority in Greece, again referring to the “Turkish” minority and claiming that “the unfair and illegal practices that have been practiced for years” against it are escalating.

Speaking at the 38th Meeting of its Standing Committee on Economic and Trade Cooperation Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, he even invited the Islamic world “not to remain a spectator of the plight of our brothers who are being persecuted in Greece”.

Erdogan said in detail: “The unjust and illegal practices that have been practiced for years against the Muslim ‘Turkish’ minority in Greece continue to escalate. The religious leaders of our brothers in Greece are not recognized. Their institutions and property are being trampled upon. They are not allowed to be taught their mother tongue. They deny their identity. The Islamic world should no longer remain a spectator of the suffering of our brothers who are being persecuted in Greece.

You are aware of the violations of rights suffered by our Turkish Cypriot brothers who are an integral part of the Islamic world. I believe that you will give the necessary support to the TRNC, which is an observer member of the Organization of Turkish States.
