The president of SYRIZA demanded from the prime minister to answer him before his trilogue and stepped down from the platform, asking to come back after the answer – Why don’t you file a lawsuit against Mr. Kontonis? said Mr. Mitsotakis
The rebuttal of the president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, in the parliament, on the debate on the bill concerning the EYP, developed in unprecedented high tones. After successive interruptions in the speeches, Mr. Tsipras called on Mr. Mitsotakis to answer him directly to the question of whether the EYP monitors the leaders of the armed forces and got off the floor of the Parliament, interrupting, as he said, his rebuttal until he gets response and with the intention of coming back.
The Speaker of the Parliament, K. Tasoulas, told him that his deputation was considered complete and an intense debate followed on the rules of the parliament. In the end, Mr. Tsipras accepted that his speech was finished and the prime minister took the floor – for his trilogue, which, among other things, called on Mr. Tsipras to file a lawsuit against the former Minister of Justice, Mr. Kontonis and told him that according to the regulation the prime minister speaks three times and the official opposition leader twice. Reactions followed from the side of SYRIZA, while an intense dialogue developed between the president of the Parliament and K. Velopoulos, who was asking to speak.
Afterwards, Mr. Tsipras took the floor from the benches and said that the image of the Prime Minister leaving the room without answering the question, will follow him.
