The response of Harilaou Trikoupis to the government representative
Harilaou Trikoupis launches a fierce attack on the government in response to the statement issued by the government representative, Yiannis Oikonomou, after the statements of Nikos Androulakis, whom he accused of political audacity.
It is recalled that Mr. Androulakis described Ms. Kailis as a “Trojan horse of the ND” regarding the surveillance case and the attitude she took in the European Parliament.
Then Mr. Oikonomou commented: “With political audacity that exceeds all limits, Mr. Androulakis is trying to move a moral, political and legal issue of his faction. It is inconceivable that he claims that the revelations about Mrs. Eva Kaili, a PASOK/KINAL MEP, do not – with any moral, political and legal shadow – weigh on him and his party, but on the ND! ».
Responding to Mr. Oikonomou, PASOK states: “The government – ‘exporter’ of know-how of illegal surveillance software in third countries and of the parastatal practices of Maximos’ backyard, after using Ms. Kaili to bury the issue of wiretapping in the European Parliament circulating it in the domestic media as “airport transfer”, now instrumentalises it again showing that they have no moral barriers.
The audacity of Mr. Mitsotakis and his government knows no bounds.
The President of PASOK – Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, unwaveringly insists on the line of zero tolerance in corruption issues.
Can Mr. Mitsotakis say the same, who covered up the surveillance scandal with his stamp?
That his nephew, who during the prime ministerial crisis has the political responsibility, was not held accountable before the inquiry committee thanks to the “immunity” granted to him by the governing majority?
Where did his deputy, A. Patsis, receive millions of euros in direct assignments from ELTA?
No matter how hard Maximos’ company tries, the perpetrator cannot appear as a victim.”
