“Time to go, Mr. President,” stressed the Minister of State George Gerapetritis, ascending the podium of Parliament immediately after the president of SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras who asked Mr. Mitsotakis to resign and call elections.
Mr. Gerapetritis’s phrase resulted in applause from the ND wing and great reactions in the seats of SYRIZA.
Mr. Tsipras finally took the floor and answered in high tones to the Minister of State that not only is he not a party leader to answer him but he is not even elected by the vote of the Greek people.
The president of SYRIZA asked Mr. Gerapetritis to recall his sentence and left the room.
The Minister of State replied that it was offensive to take it for granted that he was talking only to the Prime Minister and that the parliamentary order required him to listen to all the ministers and deputies.
In the accusation that he has not been elected by the people, he returned it to Mr. Tsipras, telling him to look into the eyes of his own deputies of the territory and to tell them that there are deputies of two speeds.
