Apostolos Spyropoulos left PASOK with shots against Androulakis

The former coordinator of the party’s political sectors announced his departure from PASOK, Apostolos Spyropoulos. As Apostolos Spyropoulos pointed out, he will not be a candidate in the next elections.

In a post on Facebook, Mr. Spyropoulos states characteristically: “I find with disappointment that in the last year the movement has lost its political orientation. It is run by a small group that is indifferent to the real problems of society and only aims to maintain its internal party sovereignty”.

As he states, the climate is no longer consistent with the goals set by Fofi Gennimata, nor with the ideals with which his father Robert Spyropoulos has nurtured him.

“Today’s leadership unwilling or unable to listen to the needs of the contemporary world and look to the future. He is politicized with illusions and is unfortunately satisfied with the little, the small, the outdated” he adds.

“Dear friends, when in July 2019 I was proposed by the late Fofi Gennimata to assume the important and very honorable position of PASOK-KINEMA ALLAGIS policy sector coordinator, I accepted the President’s proposal without a second thought and worked selflessly together with the approximately 1500 executives of the movement’s sectors for its dynamic development and its return to the position it deserves: of the measured and constructive official opposition, a pillar of seriousness and moderation for the future of our country.

Unfortunately, the climate that prevails within the leadership of PASOK – MOVEMENT FOR CHANGE in the last year is no longer consistent with the goals of the leadership of our late President, nor with the ideals with which my father Robertos Spyropoulos has nurtured me, that is, selfless love for the country, without discounting the values ​​and ideals we stand for.

I find with disappointment that in the last year the movement has lost its political orientation. It is run by a small group that is indifferent to the real problems of society and only aims to maintain its internal party dominance.

The current leadership is unwilling or unable to listen to the needs of the contemporary world and look to the future. It is politicized with illusions and is unfortunately satisfied with the little, the small, the outdated.

I will not participate in this skid any longer. I deny any possibility of my candidacy in the upcoming elections with PASOK – MOVEMENT FOR CHANGE and announce my withdrawal from the movement.

I think those who know me understand very well what I mean.

I sincerely thank all those with whom we have worked closely and shared common anxieties and dreams all these years.

I always remain at the side of my fellow citizens as a helper in the constant effort for the development and evolution of my special homeland of Arcadia.
