Bilateral meeting with the president of France Emmanuel Macron the prime minister had a while ago on the sidelines of the informal meeting of European leaders Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
According to government sources, the two leaders discussed issues of European interest concerning the agenda of the European Council as well as bilateral issues with the strategic cooperation of the two countries at the forefront.
A little earlier, Kyriakos Mitsotakis together with other European leaders had a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
The prime minister reiterated the support of Greece and the EU in Ukraine’s struggle to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Kyriakos Mitsotakis also underlined Greece’s support for Ukraine’s European perspective. The meeting was also attended by the president of Bulgaria, the chancellor of Austria and the prime ministers of Croatia, Slovenia and Hungary.
