According to diplomatic sources, Deputy Foreign Minister Costas Fragogiannis had a meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, on the sidelines of the United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries, which has been held since yesterday in Doha. The subject of the conversation that the two politicians had was the developments of the last weeks in Turkey and Greece and the resumption of the positive agenda which was postponed last summer, and which includes 25 topics, in economic, business and commercial sectors of the two countries.

Mr. Fragogiannis is participating in the UN conference (March 4 to 9) representing the prime minister and will make an intervention in the Plenary of the Conference, while he will also participate in two roundtables.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy is holding meetings with a series of leaders from dozens of countries with the aim of strengthening business and commercial relations, while at the same time promoting support for Greece’s candidacy in the effort to be elected to the United Nations Security Council, as non-permanent member, for the biennium 2025-26.
