“We didn’t do what we should and we are judged for what we will do” he said speaking on the show “Mismatched” on SKAI, the Minister of Tourism, Vassilis Kikilias saying that the government is taking its share of responsibility for the tragedy in Tempe.

“I don’t care who is responsible. We discuss what we didn’t do well and what we will do from now on. And if this apology will be accompanied by measures, combating the causes and dealing with the problems” said Vassilis Kikilias, stressing that at the moment neither the discussion about elections nor the polls has any substance and he pointed out that “it’s an ass if you don’t apologize. A hundred thousand times sorry.”

At the same time, he argued that “our government did not come to compare with yesterday. He came to change yesterday” and referred to the bad image the state presents as “malpractices, sloppiness, favoritism, stagnant contracts, contractual interests and political responsibilities, timeless, polarization and toxic confrontation”.

As for how the railways will operate again, he said they will “targeted changes must be made which will make Greek society feel safe”.

“People took to the streets to punish those responsible and from then on asked for security for their children and their families, better living conditions. This should be studied” said Vassilis Kikilias.

“This is done with radical measures, it is done by going far ahead of society, it is done with serious real intersections and changes where there is a delay of yearshe added.

He also underlined that “there are experts and justice” who will judge the tragedy in Tempe, “the rest of us are incompetent” concluded.
