“Justice must move quickly and there must be a full attribution of responsibility immediately, fairly and by name,” said Mr. Petsas,
“It is ungrateful, unnecessary and not consistent with the feeling of society to become a small-party confrontation. The tragedy of Tempe calls for an attitude of responsibility and a search for the truth, not lies, hypocrisy and pharisaism. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis immediately emphasized that the division of responsibilities will be done by the judiciary quickly and with complete transparency” stressed the deputy minister of the interior Stelios Petsas responding to an announcement by SYRIZA.
“From the first moment, in all my positions – in complete identification with the clear position of the Prime Minister – I have been clear: Justice must move quickly and there must be full attribution of responsibility immediately, fairly and by name” noted Mr. Petsas, and added:
“SYRIZA, on the contrary, is trying to create shadows to hide. Let them at least agree with each other. The Minister of Transport for 4.5 years Mr. Spirtzis appeared to say “we are not to blame for anything”, as another SYRIZA Minister “did not find any fault”. On the contrary, Mr. Zachariadis today stated that “we never said it was everyone else’s fault but us.”
“In the face of distortion and lies, only the truth can stand,” concludes the minister.
