Earlier, US Secretary of State Nikos Dendias had a telephone conversation with US Undersecretary of State Wendy R. Sherman about the situation in Ukraine and the Western Balkans.
As he points out in a post on Twitter, Nikos Dendias informed the US Undersecretary of State about the recent provocative rhetoric of Turkey.

For her part, Wendy Sherman referred to the critical role that Greece plays in promoting security and stability throughout Europe. “We are committed to supporting our Allies and NATO partners and resolving disputes through diplomacy,” she said in a Twitter post after the phone call.

According to a State Department statement, the two sides discussed the importance of Ukraine’s territorial integrity as well as coordination among NATO allies to prevent Russian aggression. “They stressed the importance of promoting solidarity and stability in Europe, including support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. “The Undersecretary and the Foreign Minister also stressed the importance of continued coordination between the Allies and NATO partners, including the preparation of unprecedented economic measures to prevent Russia from further military action and aggression.”
