Unfortunately it was not used”he stated the Deputy Minister of Transport Michalis Papadopoulos according to his visit to the OSE of Larissa, this afternoon presenting to journalists the procedure followed for the control of trains, in the presence of the station master.

At the same time, the deputy minister emphasized that “we will not allow anyone, neither inside the parliament, nor outside the parliament to misinform the Greek society”, while then he gave the floor to the station master to explain the procedure to the journalists. For his part, the station master who was in the station hall presented the procedure and said that “this is not the remote control system, but local control of the route”, to complete how “remote control was completely out except for July 2019, but was also underpowered until 2019.”

Shortly before the end of the presentation of the procedure, the deputy minister took the floor again, after a question from journalists on whether the remote control is working and said how “the remote control, as we have said, will be ready around the end of September, but this system is enough to prevent such an accident.”
