Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 22, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for Economic Diplomacy and Outreach, will be in Ankara. Costas Fragogianniswhere he will have a working meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Burak Aksapar, to promote the dialogue with Turkey on the issues of the positive agenda in the economic and trade sector.
This is the fourth meeting of the two deputy ministers within the framework of the initiative of the positive agenda, which was agreed between the foreign ministers of Greece and Turkey, Nikos Dendias and Mevlut Cavusoglu, in April 2021 and was inaugurated with the first meeting of the two deputy ministers in Kavala, on May 28-29 of the same year.
The second meeting of Mr. Fragogiannis with his then Turkish counterpart, Sendat Onal, took place in Antalya on June 16, 2021 and the third in Athens on February 21, 2022.
During the meeting, progress made on the 25 themes of the positive agenda will be discussed and next steps will be identified.
