Elections for Category C of the IMO Council will be held during the 33rd Assembly, 27 November to 6 December 2023
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, during yesterday’s bilateral meeting with the Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantinos Kobo, in Nicosia, informed his counterpart about the decision of the Greek government to support, from the Greek side, the candidacy of the Republic of Cyprus for re-election in Category C of the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), for the period 2024 – 25.
Elections for Class C of the IMO Council will take place during the 33rd IMO Assembly (27 November – 6 December 2023).

According to diplomatic sources, the aforementioned decision of the Greek government is part of, among other things, the exceptional level of maritime cooperation between Greece and Cyprus, both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union
