Cooperation governments based on a progressive programmatic basis can be much more stable than governments of arrogance and self-reliance, added SYRIZA president PS
The dilemmas are clear for the election battle of May 21, stressed Mr Alexis Tsiprass from Eleusis: “do we want the country to continue to sink or to change, do we want to be ruled by a government of arrogance or responsibility?” Do we want honesty or corruption? Do we want democracy or nepotism? Justice everywhere or privileges for a few?’
Speaking at a gathering of citizens in the Elefsina Shopping Center, the president of SYRIZA PS said that the strategy of the opponents is that “everyone is the same, they cannot change things”. “Well, no, we are not all the same, we have a clean face and clean hands, and yes, things can change”, he noted, in order to emphasize, addressing all the citizens of the “broader progressive arc” that “on May 22 we can and we must have for the first time in the history of the country a government of cooperation of all progressive forces”.
He said that governments of cooperation based on a progressive programmatic basis can be much more stable than governments of arrogance and self-reliance. He noted that there is one condition, however, “the victory of SYRIZA in the May 21 elections, the victory of SYRIZA and by a margin.” He emphasized that “a SYRIZA victory means an increase in wages, a reduction in prices, debt settlement and a fair, safe, efficient state next to the citizen”.
Mr. Tsipras gave special weight in his speech to his commitments to support the middle class and the people of work, toil and creation. He commented that contrary to what “some parakeets” say that SYRIZA will come to raise taxes, “we will come not to raise taxes, but to restore injustices, to support the world of work, to support and lighten the middle class”.
