The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited in the morning the 7th Primary School of Agioi Anargyro which has been equipped with the new interactive teaching boards. The Prime Minister went through the school halls and talked to the children and teachers, while he watched the interactive learning system in the fifth grade of the school.

The teacher of the E1 section, Evangelia Zarzari with the students presented the use of the interactive whiteboard in the History, Mathematics and Physics lessons, through 3D visualizations, interactions, multiple choice questions and many other functions and tools offered by the whiteboard.

Speaking to the teachers, Kyriakos Mitsotakis said he was impressed by the new way of teaching. “One of our central priorities is to give you more flexibility to shape the way you want to teach the children, using the tools we give you”, noted the Prime Minister, adding that “the great opportunity offered is precisely to discover all the possibilities of this new tool”.

“When we find interesting proposals, we should then be able to extend them to other schools in turn. I am excited, I must tell you, from what I see”, Mr. Mitsotakis emphasized.

“Today is a very big day because we see the new digital school in action. Next to the traditional blackboard we have a new digital teaching window which opens many new possibilities for children”, pointed out the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Niki Kerameos.

In total more than 36,000 interactive tables in all sections of 5th and 6th Primary, Middle and High Schools. The project of interactive tables is financed by the Recovery Fund and has a budget of 150,000,000 euros. Teachers will be supported through new digital and interactive educational content for the interactive whiteboards, their targeted training program for the use of interactive learning systems in the educational process and by a Support Mechanism with a specialized helpdesk.

The Prime Minister was welcomed at the 7th Primary School of Agioi Anargyro by the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Niki Kerameos, the Deputy Minister responsible for Primary and Secondary Education and Special Education Zetta Makris, the Director of the School Anastasios Athanasopoulos, the Director of Primary Education III Athens Ioannis Kapos and Mayor of Agioi Anargyro, Kamaterou, Stavros Tsirbas.
