Greece is open to dialogue with Turkey the day after the elections, based on international law and with specific conditions, clarified the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias, speaking to SKAI 100.3 and Vassilis Chiotis and Notis Papadopoulos, stressing at the same time that after his visit to Antioch there is change in Turkey’s behavior. Mr. Dendias also noted that the ND has submitted a comprehensive proposal to society that includes the electoral law, noting that the ND has not hidden that it does not believe in simple proportionality.

Mr. Dendias referring to the scenario of a Nazi figure entering the Parliament, emphasized that the rule of law must ensure that such an option does not exist, noting at the same time that the provision that was just passed is a clear manifestation of political intent.

– Regarding the self-reliance of the ND and the fragmentation of the vote which is an obstacle to self-reliance and strengthened after Tempi, and to the question of whether it should seek cooperation, the ND replied that “we are submitting a comprehensive proposal to society, we cannot mortgage our proposal by discussing eventualities. It is a matter for the sovereign Greek people. Our proposal is a proposal of an independent government from the ND.

-One can disagree with the ND proposal, but it is comprehensive. We do not believe in the electoral system of simple proportionality and we did not hide it. To the question if there is no self-reliance in the second ballots, if we will also go to third ones, Mr. Dendias replied that we cannot discuss contingencies.

Regarding the change in the Greek-Turkish climate and whether he believes it is a real change, Mr. Dendias said that after the visit to Antioch there was a change in Turkey’s behavior at all levels. Not only is Turkey not in violation, but it does not even have flight activity in the Aegean. What to create a climate that allows us after the elections, soberly, to see if we can resolve our differences, this is very serious. Before Antioch there would have been fear of a hot episode, that is now off the table.

In response to the question about the impromptu dialogue that Kalin spoke about, he noted that after the elections, Greece is absolutely open to dialogue, based on international law and with specific conditions. Greece has always been open to dialogue.
