The General Secretariat of Anti-Criminal Policy issued a statement where, among other things, he notes that no mobile phone or other electronic device has ever been found in the possession of prisoner Ilias Kasidiaris, while underlining that his telephone communication is carried out through the shared payphone.

-For the evaluation and examination of those mentioned, following relevant orders from the General Secretariat of Anti-Criminal Policy, the competent Disciplinary Council of the Store has been convened, which will meet on April 20, 2023. A meeting that will not take place for the first time, as the Disciplinary Council of The store has met in the past on the same issue.

– It is noted that during regular checks and investigations carried out at the Penitentiary where he is held, no mobile phone device or other electronic device has ever been found in his possession and his telephone communication is carried out through the public payphone.

-According to article 53 of the Penal Code, the above prisoner, like the rest of the prisoners, has the right to communicate only with the persons for whom he has permission to visit, i.e. relatives up to the fourth degree and with the lawyers whom he has declared as legal representatives and is expected to have telephone conversations with them.
