In a threatening and “macabre” move, unknown people proceeded in the area of Kamara on Saturday, posting funeral papers at bus stops, which succeed against the rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Nikos Papaioannou, after the evacuation of the “Steki to Biologia” , as reported by GRTimes in a report.
This incident comes a few hours after it became known that the Rector is receiving threats for his life, after the recent end of the occupation of the university space that lasted 34 whole years.
The posters state with threatening phraseology that the rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and “rufianos”, as they call him, “chose to open his grave”, while they add with the same motto that “The body will be under the rubble of the occupation in Steki in Organic “.
Characteristically, the rector’s family refers to the “cops, academics, Mitsotakis, contractors”.
Condemnation of threats
The threats against the rector were denounced yesterday by the government spokesman Giannis Oikonomou and the Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, sending a message of zero tolerance to such phenomena.
“Under the rubble of the now finished false occupation of some at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are their arrogance, their authoritarianism, their misery, their fascism and their paranoia. We are in practice and with determination with the Rector, with the students, with the professors, with logic, with freedom, with security and the application of the Laws in the universities. “Security everywhere, security for everyone!”, Said Mr. Theodorikakos yesterday.
Mr. Oikonomou spoke about well-known thugs who “fantasize that they will continue their work as they were used to”, emphasizing that “legality and the academic class are now non-negotiable.
