With the ballot box counting down after the official announcement of the elections, the Prime Minister has turned the pre-election marathon that has been held informally for months in the country, into a pre-election sprint – now – that will finish ahead the ballot box of May 21.

An election campaign that started with the starting point of his family’s birthplace, Chania, where he held the maiden open election rally of the current election season.

After all, Chania is a “bet” for the blue faction, given that in 2019 the ND lost by about 4 points to SYRIZA and based on the measurements it seems to still maintain strong forces in the prefecture.

After Crete, where he also toured Rethymno and Heraklion, the prime minister puts the tour engines on full blast, attempting to “plough” as many cities and prefectures throughout Greece as possible, in the 27 days that remain until the ballot box is set up.

According to the prime minister’s plan, today, Monday, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will speak at a ND rally in Aigaleo, at the “Stavros Venetis” indoor gym, at 7 pm.

A municipality that is also a “target” for the blue faction as in the July 2019 elections it was about 10 points behind SYRIZA.

The prime minister’s next stop for tomorrow Tuesday will be Thebes and Livadia while on Thursday he will travel to Northern Greece where he will visit Kavala and Xanthi where he will have a series of contacts with ND executives, institutions and representatives of productive and professional groups with the aim of presenting the ND program for the region and making a short account of his work.

On Friday the prime minister will descend on Central Greece, where on Friday he is expected to speak at the Delphi forum, in which from Wednesday 26 to Saturday 29 April, 990 speakers from all over the world (638 from Greece and 352 from abroad ) will analyze their views on the most pressing issues of the time.

However, before visiting the emblematic city, the prime minister will be in Amfissa, followed by Itea and Nafpaktos on Saturday.

The goal of Piraeus and Kyriakos Mitsotakis is to “catch” the pulse that prevails in every city and in every region of the country and at the same time to answer every question and every concern that plagues the citizen, posing clearly and compellingly the dilemmas of the time and the stake of the ballot box.

An important role will be played by the maximum possible rallying of the party, and all the party executives are “working” on this without interruption, with the former prime ministers also setting the tone.

The joint appearance of Kyriakos Mitsotakis with Antonis Samaras in Kalamata was also in this context, while the next joint appearance of the two men, as well as of former Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis, will be on May 9 in Zappeio, on the occasion of Europe Day.

Based on the planning so far, Mr. Karamanlis is expected to renew his appointment with Kyriakos Mitsotakis also in Thessaloniki, at the ND gathering that will take place on Wednesday, May 17, where it is not excluded that he will proceed with some kind of intervention in support of his faction. from which for the first time after 34 years of parliamentary life, it will not be on its ballots.

Until then, the next milestone for the blue faction is the presentation of its program for the four-year period 2023-2027 next Wednesday, in “Hellenic World”, where they will describe in detail the five main program axes concerning the economy, the social state , digital and green Greece, interventions in the state and foreign policy and defense.
