The ND MEP had a serious health adventure, Stelios Kymbouropoulos, who was hospitalized at the People’s Hospital for 12 days. The news was announced by the MEP himself through his personal Facebook account.

He even mentioned that “I even touched death during this period”. “With the power of God, the love of my own people and the efforts of the doctors, I managed to return healthy and return to my duties,” emphasized the ND MEP.

In detail, the post of Stelios Kymbouropoulos:

“This photo certainly does not show the condition I was in during all those 12 days that I had to be hospitalized at the People’s Hospital. Most of the moments except maybe this moment when I feel more safe now, have had a lot of pain, endless agony and fear. I even touched death during this time.
I don’t know if it’s politically correct to post a picture like this with the catheters in my neck. On the other hand, this was the reality. I had no veins left and the doctors had to take more drastic measures by putting in a central vein to get me the treatment I needed. It was not easy but now that I am well, I understand that in life there are also these.
Finally, with the power of God, the love of my people and the efforts of the doctors, I managed to return healthy and return to my duties. From the bottom of my heart, I thank Dimitris Schiza, my doctor and colleague who puts his heart and soul into each of his patients, as well as the other medical and nursing staff of the hospital for their scientific knowledge and humanity.
Thank you all for your tremendous interest and love!
I will keep the photo and look at it again to remember that no matter how many times I hurt, no matter how scared I am, at some point the smile will return again.
PS Because it’s reasonable to wonder what caused me to be hospitalized, the problem ended up being gallstones which caused me many complications!”
