“The reality is that he himself had used the prime minister’s aircraft many times to go to areas of the territory where he gave pre-election speeches or to return to Athens from cities where he was touring,” the announcement states.
The interview of Alexis Tsipras in the main bulletin of ANT1 is commented by her announcement New Democracy.
More detail:
Mr. Tsipras was arrested once again by lying. In order to attack Kyriakos Mitsotakis again, he recently stated in his interview with Mr. Hatzinikolaou that he himself, as prime minister, never used the prime minister’s aircraft during the pre-election period.
The reality is that he himself had used the prime minister’s plane many times to go to areas of the territory where he gave pre-election speeches or to return to Athens from cities where he was touring.
Specifically:
On June 14, 2019, in the heart of the pre-election period, then Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras used the government aircraft to fly from Malta to Rhodes.
On June 27, 2019, Alexis Tsipras had used one of the government aircraft to return to Elefsina airport from Chrysoupolis airport in Kavala.
While, a few days before the 2019 elections, returning to Greece from Brussels – where he participated in European Council work as prime minister – he did not land at the Elefsina base, but headed to Heraklion, Crete where he had a scheduled speech at a pre-election event.
It is obvious that the Prime Minister is often obliged to combine the government duties deriving from his office with the participation in pre-election events as a party leader. But what he did as prime minister is the same thing he is accusing Kyriakos Mitsotakis of today! No one has ever disputed that the respective prime minister remains prime minister during the pre-election period. And that sometimes, he has to combine his duties with pre-election activity. Never until today, when Mr. Tsipras breaks this record of lies, hypocrisy and populism!
