Invitation to the parties to send their economic programs for costing, the Minister of State and government representative addresses with his statement Akis Schertsos.

He made the proposal to yesterday’s debate Kyriakos Mitsotakishowever the government representative takes it a step further, talking about legislation in the next parliamentary term, which will oblige the parties to cost their programs to the Hellenic Fiscal Council before their announcement.

In more detail, Mr. Skertsou’s statement:

The financial programs of the parties must be reliable and implementable. For this reason we invite and challenge to agree on two things:
1) to immediately send all the parties, our financial programs for costing to one of the following three bodies, the GLC, the Hellenic Fiscal Council or the Bank of Greece. We have already costed our own economic program at 9 billion euros, cumulatively over the four years, with GLK figures under the General Secretariat of Fiscal Policy.
2) to vote in favor in the next parliamentary term for legislation that will oblige the parties to submit their financial programs for costing to the Hellenic Fiscal Council before announcing them officially.
Will they respond?
