The political council of SYRIZA decided in relation to the historical newspaper Avgi to make a consolidation in operation. In recent days, the suspension of the daily newspaper has been called into question, given that the resigned director of the newspaper Angelos Tsekeris had made it known that there are no resources for its viability.
This was followed by strong reactions from the employees, mainly, who have suffered large cuts in their salaries, while as they noted in an announcement of their general assembly, they owe them due accruals. The workers had noted that the bankruptcy had a name, they were mobilizing and requesting a meeting with the president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras.
In particular, according to Koumoundourou sources, the political council of SYRIZA PS unanimously reaffirmed its confidence in the Board of Directors of Avgi and authorized its members to make all the necessary moves, no matter how difficult, in order to achieve the economic consolidation of the business in operation of the newspaper.
