PASOK-Change Movement responded to Akis Skertsos for the criticism he leveled at the position of Nikos Androulakis that he will not cooperate with the ND.

“Mr. Skertsos and New Democracy should get used to the documented opposition of PASOK-Movement of Change. The period, when the opposition acted as their golden sponsor, is over”, commented the Press Office of PASOK-KINAL.

At the same time, he severely criticized the government for the Stability Program for the period 2023-2026, which he submitted to the Commission and as he states “includes a large and prolonged fiscal adjustment with primary surpluses of 1.1% for 2023, 2.1% in 2024, 2.3% in 2025 and 2.5% in 2026.

However, the government, despite these important commitments, did not even discuss the preparation of the mid-term plan in Parliament”.

PASOK-KINAL in its commentary claims how the public debt increased by 45 billion euros and the trade deficit is the highest since 2010.

He points to the Commission’s recommendation for net primary spending for Greece, which should not increase by more than 2.6% next year compared to this year, casting doubt on New Democracy’s pre-election promises for benefits.

“Does Mr. Skertsos have anything to comment on them?” Let him leave the cheap characterizations and finally talk about the fiscal snuff box”, concludes PASOK-KINAL in its comment.
