“Greece must have a perspective, security and stability and this is ensured through a self-reliant government of the ND”, emphasized Mr. Hatzidakis
“There was the reality and the Syrian or the opposition reality and people positioned themselves in the election based on the reality. From the side of the opposition, especially from SYRIZA, an image had been created for the Mitsotakis government that the liberal dragons came and devoured the people, especially the vulnerable”, he commented on SKAI and the show “Morning” with Giorgos Autias, the former Minister of Labor Kostis Hatzidakis, on the occasion of the election results.
“All these years, Greece and the poorer economic strata have risen several steps higher and this is linked to government policy. The fact that in Perama the ND got 38% and SYRIZA 18% is not the result of a conspiracy or the Stockholm syndrome”, commented Mr. Hatzidakis.
Also, Mr. Hatzidakis emphasized that “we are oriented towards a serious economic and social policy, we rely on development and we do not give away social sensitivity to anyone, especially the left”, pointing out the number of taxes that have been reduced, the increase in salaries, the creation of 300 thousand jobs.
“The issue of outstanding pensions was addressed. One in 14 adults got a pension while I was in the Ministry of Labour. Some waited even 2 years. These people faced their problem,” he added.
At the same time, he called on SYRIZA to price its program. “They will never take their program to GLK. And today I challenge them to take their program to whoever they want to price it. I bet they won’t. They stepped on the gas so much that they appeared completely unreliable,” he said.
On the occasion of the increases in the public sector, Mr. Hatzidakis emphasized that “the advantage of ND is that it says little and will do everything”.
Referring to the June 25 elections, the former Minister of Labor underlined that “it would be a big mistake to be complacent, the polls will be empty. No one is taken for granted and no voter should be taken for granted. Self-satisfaction and arrogance are bad counselors.”
“Greece must have a perspective, security and stability and this is ensured through an independent ND government. And what we said we did and in the same spirit we will continue. We are not political Santa Clauses like those across the street. We are going with the seriousness and credibility that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has”, he added.
“We must deal with our District again, no vote must go to waste. We must seriously move forward. We must look modestly and seriously at the result, make it clear that Greece needs perspective, it needs security, it needs stability. There is currently no other way to ensure it, except through the self-reliance of the ND”, concluded Mr. Hatzidakis.
