“On June 25, we have a duty to rebuild the great Democratic Party, so that New Democracy can have a real opponent,” pointed out the president of PASOK – Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, who toured the center of Polichni.
“We are seeking tax justice and tackling social inequalities, we will not be swayed by fake news and the Trumpism of the New Democracy”, pointed out the president of PASOK – Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakiswho toured the center of Polichni.
“We are continuing our effort, we will not be swayed by the fake news and Trumpism of the New Democracy. Our reason is clear and specific,” said Mr. Androulakis and continued: “They were used to an opposition that said things which could not be implemented and Mr. Mitsotakis does not apologize for what he has done so far. We, with progress, with realism, with responsibility, put things on the table and seek tax justice and tackling social inequalities. It is unthinkable that New Democracy propaganda does not answer the simple questions: How are social inequalities wider than ever? How is it that 2/3 of indirect taxes hit the poorest Greeks and the middle class? How is it possible that they do not support the National System Health when there are lists of shame in the operating rooms? How is it possible that they do not support public Education, when our children want better services and more supplies to withstand today’s difficult conditions?”
Ahead of the June 25 elections, he addressed, as he said, the democrats and progressive Greeks, saying: “PASOK has come to stay in this new era. That’s why I call every democrat, every progressive Greek, to join us. On June 25 we have a duty to rebuild the great Democratic Party, so that the New Democracy has a real opponent, to stop the policy that only favors the oligarchy, at the expense of the middle class, the weakest Greeks and the next generations who were loaded with 50 billion new debts from Mr. Mitsotakis”.
Accompanied by candidate MPs, executives and members of the party, Mr. Androulakis walked through the main streets of Polichni, entered shops and exchanged handshakes with shopkeepers, patrons and passers-by.
