New reply to SYRIZA on the matter of the costing of the programs in view of the elections of June 25, the representative of New Democracy gives an announcement, Akis Schertsos.

More detail:

Probably SYRIZA did not read the press release, where we quote for the umpteenth time the detailed quantification of the fiscal measures of the New Democracy Program, nor has it read the Stability Program, which it forgets is drawn up by the General Accounting Office of the State.

We refer you to the following Stability Program pages and related references:

p. 20: Refers to the increase in disability benefits made in May 2023 at a cost of €95m per year and the increase in disability pensions made in January 2023 at a cost of €50m per year (total €145m) which have been included in the basic scenario of the Stability Program.
p. 21: The increase in the salary of civil servants is mentioned at a cost of 500 million per year and therefore 2 billion euros in the four years that has been included in the basic scenario of the Stability Program.
p. 31: The pension adjustment rule is mentioned, based on inflation and GDP taken into account in the Stability Program and therefore the resulting adjustment costs (456 million in 2024, 811 million in 2025, 1,132 million in 2026 and 1,487 million in 2027) ) has been included in the General Government expenditures, in the basic scenario of the Stability Program.

In addition to the above measures which have a budgetary cost of 6.3 billion euros over four years, explicit reference is made on pages 7 and 17 of the Stability Program to the additional pre-election measures which have been quantified at 0.1% of GDP in 2024, 0.3 % of GDP in 2025 and 0.3% of GDP in 2026 (to be exact 275 million euros in 2024, 609 million euros in 2025 and 761 million euros in 2026) and which based on the Program’s training rules, as they have been announced after the announcement of the elections, they are mentioned as additional to the above measures included in the basic scenario.

Therefore, all the measures included in our program have been quantified as due for the training needs of the Stability Program and refer to it.

We clearly repeat that if you have any question about the quantification of any of the measures, let us know and we will gladly ask for it to be certified again by the services of the General Accounting Office of the State.

It is confirmed once again that anyone who has no arguments resorts to lies, which, however, have short legs.
So let’s not slam open doors as we are the only ones who have a costed program and the only ones who have consistently for over a month asked the same from all parties by making the proposal in question.

Many words are poverty…Will Mr. Tsipras submit his Program for quantification and will he finally tell us where he will find the 83 billion euros?
