The secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE brought back to the fore the claim of German reparations-reparations
At the anniversary events organized in Sperchiada at the “Stefanis Hut”, the secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoubas, was present today at noon.
From the “Hut of Stefanis” 81 years ago, the armed struggle by EAM-ELAS against the invaders took place and there the first meeting of Aris Velouchiotis with the first rebels took place and then they started for the mountain.
In his statement, the secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE brought back to the fore the claim of German reparations-reparations stressing that “today, here from Sperchiada, from Stefanis’ Hut where the armed popular struggle of EAM – ELAS began, we want to send message that the KKE will not stop, but will step forward from now on to claim German reparations, compensations, both for the forced occupation loan, and for the enormous damages suffered by our homeland, its infrastructure, the crimes against human life by the German occupation troops, but also the looting of our cultural heritage. That’s why a much stronger KKE is needed, so that the people themselves can be strong.”
Previously, D. Koutsoumbas was in Makrakomi, where he met with the citizens and party officials of the KKE in the central square. He showed interest in being informed about issues related to infrastructure, agricultural production and demographics, as there is a large decrease in the population living in the municipality of Fthiotida, and he requested the support of the KKE at the ballot box to maintain the parliamentary seat in Fthiotida.
D. Koutsoubas is the head of the KKE ballot in Fthiotida and with him were also candidates Kostas Basdekis, Andriana Bafoutsou, Christos Pasoulas, and Dimitra Gerokoudi.
