Government spokesman Giannis Oikonomou was invited to speak to SKAI and Giorgos Avtias on all current issues.
Regarding the 24-year-old’s complaint for rape in Thessaloniki, Mr. Oikonomou stressed that “justice must fully clarify these issues based on the laws and the tools at its disposal. “The government has done things to support the victims of abuse and the penal code is moving in that direction.”
Asked about the incident in a tavern with SYRIZA MP Pavlos Polakis, he said that it is a very serious incident. “The serious problem is not Polakis, but SYRIZA. “An orchestrated attack is unfolding, which Tsipras also supports.”
“Some are going to create a scenario, to poison, to divide in order to satisfy their own regime perceptions and old-party views on how a democracy should work. “Greece is a European state governed by the rule of law, no matter how much SYRIZA does not like it”, he said characteristically.
Regarding the issue with Turkey, he commented: “We are acting methodically, planned and calmly in our foreign policy.”
Finally, he said that the government will be by the side of the citizens. The support will be continuous in the energy crisis, as well as in the health one.
“Let’s go to the polls in 2023,” he said when asked about it.
