The circular of the Ministry of the Interior (established before every election process) was issued with information and instructions for the parliamentary elections of June 25.
The 51-page circular describes all the stages of the electoral process, the responsibilities and the actions of all contributors, while also mentioning the statutory deadlines, within which the competent bodies must act.
The content of the circular, which is signed by acting Minister of the Interior Kalliopi Spanou, is divided into three parts:
The first part contains information on the date of the elections, the number of deputies elected in each district, the acquisition of the right to vote and be elected, the submission of nominations and the announcement of the candidate deputies.
The second part describes the responsibilities and actions of state agencies and Local Government Organizations, immediately after the start of the pre-election period until the day before voting.
The third part refers to the issues that must be addressed on the day of the vote, while also analyzing the way of voting, extracting and announcing the results of the elections.
