Immigration is an international problem. It cannot and should not become a Greek issue again to satisfy the ideologies of SYRIZA, said Mr. Skertsos
“Greece is at constant war with the criminal traffickers of human lives. Not with the coast guard that saves lives and guards borders. Therefore, instead of SYRIZA blaming our country, the worthy men and women of the port corps, we inform him that Greece has ceased to be a key entry point for illegal human trafficking networks thanks to the valiant efforts of our port corps. Finally, let’s show a little more respect to these people”, said the ND press representative, Akis Skertsos, in a statement.
“The migration issue is present, it creates tragedies and threatens the social cohesion of European societies. It is, however, an international problem. It cannot and should not become a Greek issue again to satisfy the ideologies of SYRIZA. Such a thing would be both wrong and unfair for our country, which has so far borne a much greater burden than it is entitled to,” continues Mr. Skertsos.
He emphasized that: “SYRIZA, once again, with its alienating attitude, is at variance with Greek and European society and behaves, unfortunately, as if it has learned nothing from the mistakes it made in 2015-2019.”
In closing, Mr. Skertsos said: “Claiming anew the monopoly of sensitivity, he forgets the shame of Moria which is all his. The citizens, however, do not forget.”
