Alexis Tsipras turned against the “right wing of Kyriakos Mitsotakis” and sent a message of competitiveness
A message of competitiveness was sent by Alexis Tsipras from Heraklion, Cretewhile at the same time he denounced “the right of Kyriakos Mitsotakis that “they did not hesitate to throw into the arena even sensitive national issues, such as the issue of Thrace and the minority and to turn the EYP into a tool of the party and the party’s expediency”.
Mr. Tsipras began his speech with an aversion to Nikos Kazantzakis: “Don’t admit to asking: Will we win? Will we be defeated? War!” and added: “This is what we have been doing since the first day of SYRIZA-PS, friends. We are fighting! Learned through the hard times, the victories but also the defeats, the successes but also the failures, we have never stopped fighting for what we consider fair and humane. We never considered the political cost. We are only fighting for our values and our ideals. For the value of human life which for us has no color, religion and nationality. For what is fair for society and Greece”.
Mr. Tsipras wanted to boost the morale of the voters: “Here we are and here we will be. Standing. Fighting vote-to-vote and man-to-man. Because associations are meant to change. Because history is not written by the rulers, but by the people. And nothing has been decided before the people put their stamp on Sunday with their vote”.
Mr. Tsipras turned against the “right wing of Mr. Mitsotakis” saying: “In this electoral battle, of course, we see how ruthless our political opponents are, the Right of Mr. Mitsotakis. They have only one goal: Not to win the elections. But get out of the way with us. They did not hesitate to throw into the arena even sensitive national issues. Like the issue of Thrace and the minority. They did not hesitate to turn the EYP into a tool of the party and the party’s expediency. To smear us. They did not hesitate to use division and words taken from the darkest times of our history. Call us a national exception. Call us underdogs. As the Right did in the darkest days of the homeland. When he divided the Greeks into ethnic groups and miasma”.
