The Prime Minister is in contact with his counterparts in order to secure assistance to both air and ground forces
The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the Unified Coordination Center for Operations and Crisis Management (E.S.K.E.D.I.K.) of Civil Protection.
He was informed by the Chief and the staff of the Fire Brigade, in the presence of the political leadership of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, about the extinguishing operations at the fronts of the fires that are ongoing throughout the country, mainly in Western Attica.
Given that in the coming days there will be extremely high temperatures in many regions of Greece, which creates conditions for new fires or rekindling of existing ones, the Prime Minister is in communication with his counterparts in order to secure assistance to both air and ground forces that will support the work of firefighters who are already in the field under adverse conditions since last Monday.
Tomorrow’s visit of Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Kalamata has been postponed, while the Prime Minister will not attend the International Conference on Migration and Development that will take place in Rome on Sunday.
