His absence from the dinner of Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis for the leaders of the Western Balkansin Athens, the Albanian Prime Minister Mr. Edi Rama commented with his post on the internet.

“The reason, it’s simple, I didn’t want to worry the host and his guests by increasing the noise before my good friends, gathered in Athens, finish their work,” he said and added: “I’d better not be at the dinner that was used to a contradictory message is sent to Albania in relation to the particularly ambitious expectation of this initiative and I hope that this unfortunate event did not confuse the esteemed guests.”

He reminded at the same time that next October, Albania will lead the Berlin Process Summit, in Tirana. “Naturally my dear friend and my respected counterpart in Athens will be invited to participate and I could never imagine answering between my teeth, inviting the Greek President in his place.”

Finally, he let it be understood that the non-invitation by Mr. Mitsotakis was the result of pressure from third parties.
