With the candidacy of an experienced self-governor, that of Spyros Vouias, the candidate mayor of Thessaloniki completed his ballot Stelios Angeloudis.

The current municipal councilor and head of the faction “POLICHROMI THESSALONIKI” Spyros Vougias, although he had decided not to participate in the municipal elections in October, he will eventually be a candidate for municipal councilor with the “Team for Thessaloniki” combination.

In his post, Mr. Vougias he speaks of “an independent, diverse and colorful municipal faction with clear positions for the city, without any dependence (or even support) from any party”.

“I felt that I had no right to be absent from the tough and so crucial battle that will be fought in the coming weeks and will decisively decide the future of the city”, he emphasizes, clearly stating that he is not concerned about his election. “I do not intend to make a personal election campaign. What I wish is to help as much as I can, with my knowledge and experience, the “Team for Thessaloniki” and Stelios Angeloudis to achieve their goal and contribute to finally end the long period of frustrations and denials that constantly hurt our beautiful city”, he notes.

“Today we close our ballot with a man with whom we share common principles, values ​​and visions, ready to fight the good, collective fight to build a friendlier, more humane Thessaloniki. To give the convincing answers that our fellow citizens demand”, said Mr. Angeloudis.

261 candidate councilors of the faction “Team for Thessaloniki”

With the addition of Mr. Vouias, Mr. Angeloudis closed his ballot which includes 261 candidates, municipal and community councilors. Of these, 108 are municipal and 153 community. In total, 146 of the advisors are men and 115 are women. The youngest consultant is 20 years old and the oldest 76 years old.

One sitting regional councilor and six councilors are on the ballot. From the Angeloudis camp, it is estimated that the additions from the blue area, such as Mr. Gakis, Kazantzidis, Mandrinou, Kirla, in combination with the old self-governing executives included in the ballot, such as Zachariadis and Diamantakis, but also city figures, such as Prodromos Nikiforidis and Sakis Arnautoglou, give the combination victory dynamics.

It should be noted that the youth party of the “Team for Thessaloniki” combination is planned for tonight, while on September 5 the inauguration of the “green” election center, located on Venizelou Street, will take place.

Around the middle of September, the central event is expected to take place, where all the candidate advisors will be presented as well as the program of the combination.
