PASOK will celebrate 49 years in Zappeion on Sunday, September 3, 2023 with a series of events since its foundation with the central theme of the events being climate change on the occasion of this summer’s devastating fires.

At 18:00 in the peristyle of Zappeion there will be an open discussion on “Contemporary Challenges: Climate Change, Natural Disasters and Sustainable Development’.

There will be speakers Haris Doukas Professor of energy and environmental policy at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA and candidate for mayor of Athens, Michalis Chalaris Secretary of the Civil Protection Sector of PASOK-Movement of Change, Evanthia Sismanoglou Project Manager at EV Loader (startup for electric vehicles) and Giorgos Karamanolis Digital Governance, Innovation & Technology Advisor, Coordinator of Digital Action Society – Digital Society. The debate is moderated by journalist Andreas Papadopoulos.

Subsequently, at 20:00 in the forecourt of Zappeion the political speech of Nikos Androulakis is expected.

In the context of the festival atmosphere that also prevailed during the September 3 celebrations last year, a concert will follow with the Laki Papadopoulos, Nikos Ziogala and Yiannis Yokarini.
