“The opinion of Mr. Mitsotakis, that “I am my own opposition and there is no one else”, is the most narcissistic position of a prime minister. But let them know that Mr. Mitsotakis, the ND and those who think they are the “legitimate” or “traditional” owners of the country are being laughed at,” stressed the Efi Ahtsioglou in an event-discussion with citizens in Chania.

“The people own the country. The country is owned by its citizens and there is no greater mistake for a politician than to take the citizens for granted. Mr. Mitsotakis has already fallen into this slippage many times, in the very short time since the elections”, noted the candidate for president of SYRIZA-P.S.

“Fires are burning the country from one end to the other, human lives and property have been lost, a huge ecological disaster is taking place. The staff state of Mr. Mitsotakis was not just a giant mechanism of embezzlement of public money, direct assignments, rusfetological recruitment, monitoring half of the political system and the military, it also turns out to be a criminal state. The cosmogony promised by Mr. Mitsotakis turns out to be a huge dystopia”, he pointed out and added that this summer “violence is sweeping Greek society, self-appointed sheriffs in Evros, far-right hooligans murdering a new person in Athens. For the first time, so many Greek men and women have not been able to go on a single day of vacation, because they have been torn apart by punctuality, their income has decreased and they fear that the winter may be worse. This is the normalcy of the Mitsotakis government.”

In her interview on “Zarpa Radio 89.6” Efi Ahtsioglou stated that “SYRIZA-P.S. it is a governing party and must quickly return to governing orbit. It must become strong, because it is the only political force that can raise its stature against the Right, but also against the far-right discourse.”

“Mr. Mitsotakis it instilled fear in citizens and the feeling that there is no alternative. SYRIZA-P.S. it has to convince the citizens that there is an alternative, viable and realistic proposal, to have a better income, to hold down prices, to feel safe, to have forest protection and prevention services,” he added.

Referring to labor issues, she emphasized that “it is unthinkable in the 21st century to discuss whether it is okay to work 13 hours and serve while swimming. A worker’s working time and pay concern his life. If he works 13 hours what is the rest of his life? ND has a regressive view of work. On the contrary, SYRIZA-P.S. has a progressive concept, we are talking about stable jobs with good wages, about facing the new challenges – the digital transition and working from home – with worker protection, about uniform rights and uniform rules, about collective agreements and a minimum wage that will be able to monitors the evolution of prices”.

Mrs. Ahtsioglou called on citizens to participate massively in the elections for the leadership of SYRIZA-PS. stressing that “people who are not members of the party can also come to vote and register that day. The greatest possible participation is a bet of democracy and politics.”
