The government will continue to show social sensitivity, but fiscal stability is also a condition for Greece to move forward with high growth rates and new jobs, said Mr. Hatzidakis
The government will continue to show social sensitivity but also fiscal stability is a condition for Greece to move forward with high growth rates and new jobs, the Minister of National Economy and Finance of Greece, Kostis Hatzidakis, told SKAI 100.3 today.
Mr. Hatzidakis reiterated that the state will give a heating allowance and indeed for families with children, increased compared to last yearwhile in the next period there will be a new, fair and efficient system for the taxation of freelancers.
With reference to the issue of combating tax evasion, Mr. Hatzidakis pointed out that its treatment is strengthened through the AADE with checks and cross-checks while it is being completed in the first months of 2024 the interconnection of cash registers with POS.
Mr. Hatzidakis emphasized that tackling and limiting tax evasion will rely to a very large extent on the use of digital tools.
He himself emphasized that “no one can know the rate of tax evasion, however through digital platforms it has been established that for short-term leases we have a tenfold increase in declared income and that says something”.
