“It was sardam in the flow of speech” argued the SYRIZA member of parliament Theodora Tzakri speaking on the show “Today” on SKAI, referring to the statement of the candidate for the party’s president, Stefanos Kasselakis, who called the pseudo-state in Cyprus a “state”.

“How seriously can you talk about foreign policy for 48 hours with statements on Facebook or with a shallow journalistic commentary on Mitsotakis’ movements. The instrumentalization of foreign policy issues in this dialogue is done with common slogans and with a search for the intentions of the opponent”, said the SYRIZA member of parliament and continued “If someone disagrees with the term patriotic left, which Mr. Kasselakis clearly puts in table or if he considers that this is not the case, then he should explain to us why the issues of defense were a field of political influence of the opponent in the recent elections and especially of some of us who were talking about Prespes of the Aegean”.

The SYRIZA MP, responding in this regard, recalled that Mr. Filis had spoken about “Prespes of the Aegean”, saying that “the village is small” and when “someone talks about conflict, after all, we know who they are talking about”.

“Now some should keep quiet and wear shirts and frocks just to hit Kasselakis”, and he added that these issues should be thoroughly examined at the SYRIZA conference.

Regarding the Kasselakis meeting with ADEDY, claimed that it was done “informally” despite the fact that the trade union denied this in a statement. Ms. Tzakri claimed that “ADEDY representatives were in Mr. Kasselakis’ office a day before the strike”.

“It is frivolous, for someone to characterize Mr. Kasselakis as naive and that he has no political reason” given his academic career and business status, said Ms. Tzakri.
