“Two parties in one” are currently living together in Koumoundourou with Stefanos Kasselakis making the first reconnaissance moves and contacts in order to quickly build the presidency of his parliamentary group.

The information indicates that the “47” may be called tomorrow, in the presence of the new president, to hold their first meeting.

Always waiting for the first meeting of the Political Secretariat, where the “knives” are expected to come out. Of the three positions of parliamentary representatives, Nikos Pappas seems to have been locked up so far.

Information from a person who is well aware of the processes taking place on the seventh floor of Koumoundourou said that Stefanos Kasselakis wishes to be an MP from the other “camp” to represent SYRIZA in the Plenary. It is recalled that it is a very important position for the official opposition, as each parliamentary representative oversees three different sectors. Possibly it is Nasos Iliopoulos, while the name of Alexis Haritsis has also been heard.

Efi Ahtsioglou clarified yesterday to Mr. Kasselakis that she does not wish to take on any area of responsibility. Her statement to reporters was indicative: “He told me if I wanted any position that would interest me. I told him that at the current stage of my life I do not have the possibility to assume any position because after being on the front line of the opposition for two years and successive electoral contests I do not have the energy at the moment. It’s purely a personal decision.”

The former Minister of Labor, with a careful “maneuver”, avoided joining the “framework” of the initiatives that Stefanos Kasselakis will undertake. Several of the executives who had supported her in the elections and especially in the second round have opened a “war” of statements against the official opposition leader.

The “clouds” that have gathered over Koumoundourou are difficult to dispel. Nikos Filis, Panos Skourletis and Nikos Voutsis are with “arms rather than legs” and are against the new leadership. Nikos Pappas, Pavlos Polakis and Evangelos Apostolakis will be the three “bodyguards” of the new president, repelling the “medicinal arrows.

This role, of course, has already been taken up by Dora Avgeri, who yesterday responded to the ex-Minister of Education’s fire.

With the Congress in the background, nothing will be simple anymore and only the local elections are currently holding back the leaders of the Left wing. This happened yesterday during the presentation of the ballot of Kostas Zachariadis, who all forgot the identity issues that divide them and came to the “Mihalis Kakogiannis” foundation to support his candidacy for the municipality of Athens.

At the base of the party, in the Member Organisations, there is turmoil with several resignations imminent. In the next period it will be seen if there will be a wave of departures that can shape a new situation in the party.
