For “coincidences” aimed at covering up the wiretapping case the president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, spoke in his intervention in the Parliament.

In particular, Mr. Androulakis, bringing up the issue of wiretapping, complained that one day before the meeting of the AIAEA on Friday, the replacement of members of the independent authority suddenly comes to the Conference of Presidents.

The entire statement of Mr. Androulakis:

I want to inform you about one more “coincidence” in the wiretapping case. A case that has plagued our country for more than a year.

On Friday, a meeting of the Communications Privacy Assurance Authority, this independent authority, is scheduled for the matter that concerns the EYP.

The recommendation of the President of the Authority is a fine of 100,000 euros to the EYP, because it did not agree to cooperate with the independent authority, giving the reason file that justified – according to the prosecutor Mr. Vlachou – the interception and monitoring of my mobile phone.

So, while this controversial meeting is on Friday, we learned a while ago that tomorrow at the Conference of Presidents, the replacement of members of the independent authority comes unexpectedly.

It is yet another “coincidence”, which adds up to the continuation of the previous “coincidences”.

“Coincidence” the monitoring through EYP and Predator. They don’t have the Predator, but together they watched.

“Coincidence” that they didn’t give the ADAE the file from the EYP, which was monitoring me as an alleged “national risk”, because they have to justify what the “national risk” is that Mrs. Vlachou is citing.

And the answer to the next “coincidence” is the dates: From the beginning of the process of electing the leader of PASOK until my election as President of PASOK.

Another “coincidence”: On July 26th from this step I submitted to you the file of another independent authority, the Personal Data Protection Authority of Mr. Menoudakos, which essentially says that there were multiple cases of Predator. I then asked the body if there are other ministers or MPs who received a corresponding information file. You in SYRIZA, who said that there are victims in you too. In New Democracy. So who are they? Submit the files. Nothing filed.

Here, then, after these random “coincidences” it turns out that our democracy, our institutions, the rule of law cannot at this moment be guarded by the government of Mr. Mitsotakis. It is a dangerous government. It is a dangerous government for institutions, for democracy.

So this government after this series of “coincidences” comes a day before the meeting of the independent authority to replace members.

For us things are revealing.

I want to address the Greek people today and say that in this stinking affair of wiretapping, unfortunately – from what it seems – New Democracy is trying to cover up not only the nephews, not only the businessmen but also the EYP itself.

We will continue the fight, with all our strength, every day so that the citizens understand which is the democratic faction that guards the institutions and democracy and which is the government that undermines them every day, with the sole aim of not revealing the responsibilities of Mr. Mitsotakis and his family environment.

Responding to the present Minister of Development, Konstantinos Skrekas, the President of PASOK-Movement for Change pointed out:

So you are telling us that it is another “coincidence” among all these “coincidences” that we experienced last year. You are telling the Greek people that we have another “coincidence” one day before the debate in the independent authority with the proposal to impose a fine of 100,000 euros on the EYP, which did not provide the file, which was justified because I am a “national danger”. A day before you replace members to slow down the process. And I tell you, therefore, directly that you are dangerous for institutions and democracy. You are a government that must immediately be held accountable for this scandal, which has exposed the country internationally.
