What the president of SYRIZA said before the election and what he said today at the General Assembly of SEB
SYRIZA president Stefanos Kasselakis made a commitment to protect the institutions, and especially the judiciary and the media, if the citizens honor him with their vote, speaking today at the annual general assembly of SEB.
However, a few weeks before the second ballot in SYRIZA, in a conversation with his gathered supporters, Stefanos Kasselakis said that he “likes” to “pull the teeth” of judges and journalists, as long as the citizens go to vote on Sunday.
Today, speaking to SEV, he said: “If the citizens honor me, I will never – ever – exert the slightest influence on Justice and the media. On the contrary: I will shield the institutions. Likewise, you will never negotiate with me for licenses that will unfairly facilitate the development of your activities. Don’t come near me – I will take it public to the people who trust me every day.’
