A municipal authority, that is, that fights and has results in favor of the people of Patras precisely because it was a militant opposition to the governments, the state, the mechanisms, because it did not compromise with the current reactionary institutional framework”.

“The high percentage of abstentions in both the first and second main rounds, although we do not adopt such an attitude, we consider that it also includes a significant percentage of protest against local authorities that implemented the dominant policy, rejection of the logic of of the “lesser evil”, that is, of choosing between two candidates who do not differ much in central issues, but also of discredit, we must say, against this institution of local administration with its class-based anti-people character.

Obviously, it is requested that the protest be expressed through active participation in the movement, ultimately, in the organized struggle, in the assertion, to acquire radical characteristics” write down.

“Overall, it is confirmed with today’s results that despite the overall negative correlation, a stream of questioning of the dominant policy, the liberation of working-class forces from the bourgeois parties, the rise in prestige and the militant association with the KKE is still being stabilized and strengthened.
