“We are waiting for the attitude of New Democracy, SYRIZA and the other parties”, said the president of PASOK
Its president PASOK-Movement for Change Nikos Androulakis stated that the Parliamentary Group of the party in the next few days will file, based on the conclusion of the European prosecutor, a request for the establishment of a Pre-Investigation Committee, “for the crime, the tragedy of Tempe”, as he characteristically stated in an interview tonight in the main news bulletin of OREN.
“I would really like to see her attitude of New Democracy, of SYRIZA and the other parties”, he added.
Regarding the result of the second round of self-governing elections, the president of PASOK-Movement for Change emphasized that “Mr. Mitsotakis wanted 13/13 in the Regions and absolute sovereignty of New Democracy in self-government. And it failed. He took a bet on his back, and the Greek people – especially on the second Sunday – turned their backs on him, declaring that they do not want self-government to be the “long hands” of Maximos, but they want self-government alongside the citizen”.
Commenting on what the president of SYRIZA said on the night of the elections, Stefanos Kasselakis Mr. Androulakis emphasized that “our winning strategy was: Self-government next to the citizen and not self-government entrenched in the parties. Persons of high scientific competence so that they can implement realistic programmatic plans. Our strategy is programmatic agreements at the grassroots of society, not bargaining at the top level. We proved with our strategy that we can defeat the New Democracy with alliances, but programmatic at the base of society and not with stripped-down and adventurous approaches.”
Nikos Androulakis clarified PASOK’s line on the occasion of what is being said by SYRIZA officials about joint cooperation between the two parties even in the European elections and made it clear that he is in favor of cooperation at the base of society. “Obviously we want partnerships, but political ones. Not with adventurers who on the one hand blast polls and channels and, as soon as they do their job, play nice, or with others who say we live in Europe but undermine independent authorities as is happening in Hungary. I move with value. I’m not going to, what I think should be done in the country which is a modern political staff with few words and a lot of work, with brave reforms and changes, I’m not going to undermine it and see on the way to the chair that I make painful compromises and for the faction and for the homeland. I’m not going to make such compromises.”
He added that there are people in Left who really want to go along with PASOK in maintenance as they exist in the progressive center. “I hear about a progressive center. Is Mr. Mitsotakis a progressive centrist? The one who gets along with Velopoulos and Beo? Let’s go to the left. Is it progressive that some people call the media “cesspools” and now that they play them day and night – not for political reasons, but for dog walks – does this concept no longer exist? Where are those who condemned the polls as rigged and were ultimately given far greater percentages than they got? I am ready to work with both the center and the progressive left, as Haris Doukas did in Athens, as long as we deal with clientelistic practices, conservative perceptions and the government of the New Democracy which consistently undermines the interests of the Greek people” underlined Mr. Androulakis.
He strongly criticized the government saying that it has failed in Health, the protection of the welfare state, dealing with punctuality while he claimed that he collaborated with Mr. Velopoulos in undermining ADAE.
