The president of SYRIZA poses two questions to the prime minister about the attack on the monastery of Agios Porphyrios with his post on platform X
Explanations from the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for the attack on his monastery Agios Porfirios in Gazathe president of SYRIZA-PS requests in his statement, Stefanos Kasselakis.
In his statement he states: “The Prime Minister announces to the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew that he has asked Israel for protection from Israeli bombardments of the monastery of Ag. Porfirio in Gaza. October 19: The historic Greek Orthodox monastery is severely damaged. The Archbishop of Tiberias Alexios tells ERT: ‘They hit the offices and the entrance of the monastery. They were bombed and the whole building collapsed. Many Christians have been injured and we also have dead people.’ I ask the Prime Minister:
1. What arrangements did he make and why was his request ignored?
2. How can he simply express his regret and not make a strong protest to the Israeli government, both for the fact of the bombing and for the discrediting of our country?”
