The secretary of the SYRIZA Central Committee said that the prime minister did not answer the major questions put to him
“K. Mitsotakis, once again, appeared in the Parliament with excessive arrogance and intemperance”, stressed Rania Svigou in her interview on r/s STO KOKKINO 105.5 and journalist Nikos Sverkos. He underlined that the prime minister “not only did not answer the major questions put to him by the other parties, nor Mr. Rammos’s complaints about his blackmail by government officials and officials, which is unprecedented for a European country”, but also reached the point ” to instruct rival political leaders on what to say and what not to say’.
Referring to yesterday’s events, with the beating of a protester and the unhindered action of fascists, the secretary of K.E. of SYRIZA-PS called the attitude of the Police “provocative”, stressing that “there are no excuses, nor can there be a cover-up”. As he said, “it is a given that there are responsibilities” and that “both the leadership of the Police, as well as the Ministry of Citizen Protection itself, must answer, and not follow the well-trodden path, that is, pretextual investigations and EDE that eventually end up in the file” .
Regarding the new tax bill that burdens thousands of freelancers, Rania Svigou emphasized that “K. Mitsotakis followed a pre-election policy of deceiving the middle class and freelancers, he was talking about abolishing the pretense tax, about an alleged tax raid if SYRIZA became the government, and now he is bringing a bill which provides for a minimum tax close to €1,500 for everyone”. Then, he repeated the commitment of SYRIZA, for “tax-free for freelancers with an income of up to 10,000 euros”, stressing that “this is a social necessity”.
When asked about internal party developments, Rania Svigou emphasized that “Stefanos Kasselakis himself, in his speech to our Parliamentary Group, made an exhortation to lower the tone, addressing the entire party. Our thinking and our action must be oriented towards society, with a structured plan of actions which will create cracks in the politics of the ND”. As he characteristically said, “we all understand that the television windows are not the right place for intra-party discussion, that disagreements should be resolved in the organs, and that compositions should be sought there with respect to the different point of view, but also to the principle of the majority ».
Concluding, he underlined that “we should proceed with collective discussion, democratic procedures in the institutions, but also extroversion. Because the world has given us the position of official opposition and the mandate to fight with all our strength inside and outside the Parliament for the interests of the great majority of citizens”.
