After the recent sensational reports by Greek and foreign media, according to which the nephew and former general secretary of the prime minister is alleged to be the sender – when he was still in this position in 2021 – of Predator sms to 11 important figures in public life, new information has come to light that shows that the eavesdroppers targeted public prosecutors, such as the former Financial Prosecutor and current Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Mr. Christos Bardakis and the Prosecutor responsible for the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Ms. Vassiliki Vlachou.

The president of SYRIZA – PS will exhaust every institutional and political initiative to clarify the case, continuing the institutional meetings with representatives of the judicial and prosecutorial authorities, the independent authorities and the competent bodies of the European Union.

In these circumstances, today’s meeting with the president of PASOK in Parliament will also take place, who was himself a victim of wiretapping. The meeting is part of the institutional initiative undertaken by the president of SYRIZA – PS for meetings with other political leaders. The meeting with the Prime Minister was preceded, while the meeting with the General Secretary of the KKE is pending.
