Deletion of Euclid Tsakalotos and Peti Perkas from SYRIZA’s KO – SYRIZA demands that they hand over the seats – I have no intention of handing over the seat, Peti Perka tells SKAI.
In a letter to the Speaker of the Parliament, Konstantinos Tassoulas, the president of the SYRIZA Committee of the People’s Committee, Sokratis Famellos, informs that Peti Perkas and Euclid Tsakalotos are being removed from the Committee of the SYRIZA Committee following his announcement of his departure from the party.
SYRIZA: To hand over the headquarters
In a statement issued by SYRIZA shortly after Famellos’ letter to Tasoula, it is emphasized: “The parliamentarians in question they must immediately hand over their seats to SYRIZA-PS, as provided for in the Code of Conduct for parliamentary candidates. Specifically, the handing over of seats is provided for in case a) of par. 2 of the Code, which states that all MPs elected with the SYRIZA-PROGRESSIVE ALLIANCE ballots commit politically and morally that the seat they occupy belongs to the party”.
Perka to SKAI: I am not handing over the seat
Speaking a while ago to SKAI, Peti Perka stated that does not intend to surrender the seat. “We also have a fresh mandate from the world” he said characteristically.
Regarding her expulsion from the KO, she said: “Now I’ve learned, it’s one thing to leave the party and another to leave KO. I don’t understand, I feel like we don’t know the proceedings.”
He added that she herself was not a member of the Umbrella nor had she made the decision to leave now.
“I could see how it only goes further. I don’t know how left-wing people could stand to hear the president come out in the Central Committee and say that you are the 5th phalanx” he said characteristically and clarified that he does not intend to hand over the seat, adding that “we also have a fresh mandate from the people with the party that had Alexis Tsipras as president and not Stefanos Kasselakis”.
Ms. Perka added that the new SYRIZA has moved, however she added that she does not intend to come out and accuse SYRIZA, “I will not do what others did” she characteristically said and added: “I hurt SYRIZA and I cannot accuse”.
Finally, he spoke of online bully group: “I’m not saying that Stefanos Kaselakis set them up, but they are his supporters» he said.
